Smith is a transfer from Tallahassee [Fla.] Community College. The 6-1 junior will be looked at to help replace All-American Fred VanVleet at the point guard position this season. As a junior, Smith is an experienced point guard who can bring size and athleticism to the guard rotation. He was born August 7, 1995 in Jacksonville, FLA. He is the son of Charles Smith and Shantel Manning. Smith is majoring in Sport Management at Wichita State.
Darral Willis, Jr

Willis is a 6-9 forward from Madison, Wisconsin. He is a transfer from Pearl River Community College [Miss.], where he received NJCAA Third Team All-American honors for the 2015-16 season. Darral is the latest in a long line of talented JUCO forwards to join the program, like Cleanthony Early, Darius Carter and Carl Hall. Willis is the 9th JUCO All-American to play for Gregg Marshall at Wichita State. He will provide needed post defense and versatile scoring. Darral was born January 21, 1996… Son of Darrlyn Willis Sr. and Wendy Buckinghan.

Malone, a 6-0 guard, is a walk-on who is joining the program after a year at McLennan Community College [Texas]. Head Coach Gregg Marshall said, “Kaelen is a student of the game who has grown up around high level basketball. He brings toughness on the defensive end and does a good job protecting the ball – two qualities I really value in a guard.” He was born July 4, 1995 in Dallas, Texas… Son of Mitch Malone and Lorna Tucker-Malone.

Cedar Ridge High School [Arkansas]
Austin Reaves is a 6-5 guard from Arkansas. A Rivals 3-Star prospect, averaged 32.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists during his senior year at Cedar Ridge High School. He lead the school to it’s third state title in four years and earned the state tournament MVP. Coach Marshall said, “His scoring numbers stand out, because that is what he needed to do in order for his high school team to be successful, but we think Austin is the complete package. Growing up in a basketball family, he’s already developed a great skillset. He handles the ball well, plays good fundamental defense, and has a knack for getting to the foul line. He’s also a guy who excels at making plays for others.” Austin was born May 29, 1998… Son of Nicole Wikett and Brian Reaves.

Sunrise Christian Academy [Kansas]
C.J. is a 6-3 guard from Baltimore, Md. He played one prep year at powerhouse Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. As a senior, Keyser played for WSU assistant Kyle Lindsted at Sunrise Christian Academy, which is located near Wichita. He was a team captain and standout performer during his lone year at Sunrise. ESPN and Rivals both rated him as a 3-Star prospect and he was also once considered to be a top-20 shooting guard by ESPN before reclassifying to the class of 2016. C.J. has drawn comparisons to former Shocker guard Tekele Cotton, in terms of style of play and physical stature. Coach Marshall said, “He’s explosive, can play a multitude of positions on the perimeter and profiles as a lockdown defender. We had an opportunity to watch hi quite a bit at Sunrise, and he had a chance to see how this program operates.” Keyser also starred in a viral YouTube video in which he is seen jumping and kissing the rim. Full name, Chadwick Keyser Jr., was born February 6, 1997 in Baltimore and is the son of Chadwick Keyser Sr. and Tracey Oliver.
