Wichita State received a third National Letter of Intent on Friday afternoon. Darrlyn Willis, a 6’9″ PF from Madison, Wisconsin decided to continue his collegiate career as a Shocker. Willis’ recruitment involved callers from Arizona State, Marquette, Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma State. Darrlyn is currently a sophomore at Pearl River CC in Poplarville, Mississippi.
This is a big-time pick-up for Gregg Marshall and staff. The recruiting class consists of two incoming juniors; PF-Darrlyn Willis, and PG-Daishon Smith, plus freshman, SG-C.J. Keyser. All three will be on campus for the 2016-17 basketball season and will join Texas A&M transfer, Peyton Allen who has to sit out this year due to NCAA transfer rules.
