Recruit Daishon Smith impressing early


Shocker recruit Daishon Smith is making his presence felt in his sophomore year at Tallahassee Community College. Smith, who has verbally committed to play at Wichita State next season, has averaged 14.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.75 assists per game.

By far, Smith’s most impressive game of the season was on October 31st against Georgia Highlands College. Daishon ended the game with 22 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. He followed up that performance with 18 points on his next outing against Hillsborough Community College on November 5th. Check out video highlights from the game over at

The early period for basketball recruiting starts the 11th of November, and concludes on the following Wednesday, the 18th. Currently, Smith has verbally committed to play at Wichita State next season. He is expected to sign his national letter of intent during this early period.
