Joe Ragland was named Eurobasket.com’s Turkish League player of the week. Ragland has led his Pinar Karsiyaka team to a 3-0 start this year. In his most recent outing, Joe had a double-double with 18 points and 12 assists. He’s averaging 10 assists per game this season, and is shooting 66.7% from the field.
Ragland played point guard at Wichita State for two seasons, winning an NIT Championship in 2011, and taking the Shockers back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Gregg Marshall. Joe averaged 13.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game in his senior season.
As a professional basketball player, Ragland has played in Spain, Italy, and now Turkey.
