On Friday afternoon, the Wichita State Shockers showed a new jersey for the upcoming 2015-16 season. It’s a different road jersey than we’ve seen in the past.
Here, we see last year’s road uniform paired up with the upcoming uniform:
First thing we notice is the word “Shockers.” No longer is it bubble lettered. Nor is it outlined and left blank in the middle. It’s filled in and pops off the jersey. It reminds you of a throwback feel to the 1964 jersey when the lettering had block lettering as well, just bowed and was white
The piping is now just on the shoulders all the way around, compared to curling in at the collarbone.
On the shorts, they continue to put the Missouri Valley patch on the lower right hip. This has been the same place as in the past. I like it compared to other conferences, gives it a unique look.
On the back, you see the block lettering and the unique numbering font.
I’m a big fan of them. Then again, I’m a huge fan of uniform changes.
