POLL: Should Wichita State be top program in Kansas?

Kansas? Sure, but should Wichita State be top program in Kansas?

Here’s the deal. I’ve only been covering the Wichita State Shockers for about four days. However, I do recognize the high level of success they bring to the Sunflower State. Over the last five years, Wichita State has won 121 games. They’ve won 30 games or more for three straight seasons. I honestly can’t think of too many programs who can match that level of success.

Over the last five seasons, Wichita State is 151-28. That includes two Sweet 16 appearances and a Final Four. They’ve won the Missouri Valley three of the last four years.

For Kansas over the last five seasons, they’re 150-35.

The Shockers get a raw deal by playing in the Valley and the Jayhawks in the Big 12. However, what the Shockers have done over the last five years is nothing short of extraordinary. They topped it all off by beating the Jayhawks in the NCAA tournament last season, advancing to another Sweet 16.

So, what do you think? Do you agree with the map or do you think it should have been Wichita State? Vote below or on hour homepage:
